某個又在Youtube上閒晃的日子，意外的在評論區看到了Halsey這個名字，還好當時我google了，因為我已經完全無法自拔。
迷濛的雙眼、一點沙啞的聲線、像是沉在水底的編曲和抑鬱少女的歌詞，這是我對Halsey音樂的形容。
如果從外表來看Halsey，可以看出他絕對不是屬於鄰家少女型，特殊的髮色、刺青、穿著crop top、皮衣，各種充滿個性的街拍感，她就像是Tumblr上會出現的那種被拿來寫上格言或歌詞圖片裡的女生，酷酷的，吐著煙圈的樣子甚至有點壞，這種壞壞惹人愛的樣子，完全正中我紅心。
但是如果你以為這樣的Halsey讓人很難接近，那就完全被她的外表騙了，事實上Halsey的個性就像一個普通20歲的少女一樣，開朗、可愛甚至有點sweet，不信你看她跟fans互動的模樣就知道了。
有哪個歌手會想跟fans刺一樣的刺青啊天啊。
談起”Halsey”的出現，原本Halsey是以本名Ashley Frangipane在Youtube和Tumblr上發表自己的創作和cover，在2014年Halsey在SoundCloud上發表了自己的創作單曲＜Ghost＞，也因為這首歌讓Halsey被更多人注意到，而很快的她也選擇用”Halsey”這個名字和唱片公司簽約，並發了第一張EP《Room 93》，之後也開始了她的tour，也為Imagine Dragons演唱會暖場。
回到音樂上，Halsey的音樂會讓我想起The 1975、The Neighbourhood的硬地搖滾，但多了Synthesizer的迷幻感，混和著既輕柔慵懶又帶有侵略性的嗓音。
Ghost──我擁有你的軀體，但你的靈魂去了哪？
這首歌如同一個倔強少女在感情上的自白一樣，從開始像是漂在宇宙間的” I'm searching for something that I can't reach.”然後很快的進到節奏強烈的歌詞，說著自己愛上的是個壞男孩，而他的心已不繫在這段感情上，但其實這關係裡沒有人是受害者，甚至是女孩自己要求這樣的關係。而到了第二段，女孩雖然不斷說服自己愛這樣的壞男孩，但他自己心裡知道這種單向的感情是不對的，女孩總會離開男孩，因為她知道她值得更好的。Chorus部分則像是女孩在心裡深處的疑問，想找到這段感情中對方的ghost，但她其實一開始就知道她找尋的是她沒辦法觸及的東西。
（簡單說就是女孩愛上了一個不回家的男人，但是女孩很M的維持這段關係，最後知道騙不了自己所以還是會離開。）
Colors──寫給男孩的歌
這首歌是讓我聽了之後，完全喜歡上Halsey的歌，但這首歌還不在《Room 93》裡（Halsey有很多歌都是在tour上發表的，現在還沒有正式的錄音版），但會收錄在八月底發行的專輯《Badlands》。
為甚麼說是寫給男孩的歌呢？如果你稍微注意一下歌詞，而你又剛好喜歡The 1975的話……沒錯，這首歌是在描述Matthew Healy。
Halsey很早以前就認識了Matty，她說他們是很好的朋友，而Matty也在她的創作上給了她很多的靈感。而雖然沒有明講，而雖然Halsey現在有個男友，但是從Halsey以前曾在Tumblr上發的文章和照片來看，他們的確有一段關係。如果大膽推測的話，其實除了＜Colors＞這首歌之外，包含＜Ghost＞、＜Is there somewhere?＞、＜Trouble＞，甚至是《Room 93》這張專輯的名字都和Matty有關。但是人家都沒有講明了，所以我們就把他當成是一段不存在的事實吧:P
說回這首歌，我很喜歡它的編曲不說，我更喜歡Halsey寫的詞，每句都有背後都隱喻一些事情。就想我說的＜Colors＞是寫給Matty的歌，裡面可以看出Halsey對他的理解和感情，我喜歡她把和對方之間的關係寫成顏色，把對方當成是一本曠世巨作，還有尾段對白用色彩的混合寫出了親密，但卻不是彼此適合的關係。
Halsey，喜歡她的人，更喜歡她的歌，也期待她接下來有更多可以驚艷我們的創作。
